Billing and access

75 dollars a month per commissioning project on top of free project management, what its AI features need, and how a project or an organization gets Active Commissioning turned on

Active Commissioning is a separate paid product from CORE, LEDGER, STRUX, and VANTAGE. It is priced and turned on per project.

What it costs

$75 per month, per commissioning project, on top of Struxen Core, which is free. Nothing is charged at the workspace or organization level.

Commissioning on its own is the commissioning product without AI. Its AI runs (drawing set scans, checklist and TAB verification, and AI template generation) need AI credits on the project, from $550 per month, and spend from the same project AI credits every other AI operation in the project draws from. There is no separate commissioning credit allowance. See Billing for how AI credits work.

Two ways a project gets Commissioning

  • A platform organization adds Commissioning to a specific project as a paid add-on, alongside whatever else the project already has.
  • A commissioning-only organization, built around commissioning work, runs on the Commissioning plan directly. Every project that organization owns is entitled to Commissioning, with no per-project add-on step. Each project pays the $75 Commissioning line, plus AI credits if it uses Commissioning's AI features.

An organization admin can also be granted Commissioning as a comp or demo override, independent of either path above.

When it is not enabled

A project without Commissioning access shows a locked panel instead of the product:

Commissioning is not enabled for this project An account admin can turn on Commissioning for this project to unlock equipment, checklists, tests, and reports.

Permissions

Commissioning is its own tool in the permissions system, at the usual four levels: None, Read only, Standard, or Admin, assigned per role like every other tool. A role with no access to Commissioning does not see the product at all.

Struxen ships a Commissioning agent role template for staff of a commissioning-only firm: full control of the Commissioning product, plus participation in the surrounding project tools a commissioning engagement actually uses (RFIs, documents, drawings, photos, meetings, issues, inspections), and no access to LEDGER's financial tools. See Permissions.

Troubleshooting

"Commissioning is not enabled for this project." The project has none of the three grants above. An account admin needs to add the project add-on, or the organization needs to be on the Commissioning plan.

To add the project add-on, an account admin opens Settings on that project, then Commissioning under the project group, and turns it on. It takes effect immediately and bills from the next invoice. Turning it off works the same way, and stops future billing immediately.
