Getting Started

This guide walks you through the first three things every new Struxen user does: create your account, spin up a project, and ask STRUX a question.

1. Create your account

  1. Go to app.struxen.io and click Sign Up.
  2. Enter your work email. Struxen sends a verification code; check your inbox (and spam folder if needed).
  3. Enter the code, then set a password that meets the strength meter.
  4. You will be prompted to either create a new organization or accept an invite to an existing one. If your company already has Struxen, ask an Owner or Admin to invite you instead of creating a duplicate org — credits and projects are scoped per organization.

When the org is created you become its Owner. Owners can transfer ownership later from Account → Organization.

2. Create your first project

A project is the unit of work in Struxen. Drawings, specs, schedules, RFIs, and AI runs all live inside a project.

  1. From the dashboard, click New Project in the top-right.
  2. Step through the 8-step wizard. Required fields:
    • Project name (e.g. "Riverside Medical Tower – CDs")
    • Type (commercial, healthcare, residential, etc.)
    • Estimated start and completion dates
    • Location (used for weather, code lookups, and team coordination)
  3. The wizard will allocate Compute Credits from your org pool. Review the allocation on the final step before clicking Create Project.

You will land on the project dashboard. The left rail switches to project-scoped navigation: Documents, STRUX, VANTAGE, Findings, Reports.

3. Upload a document

Before STRUX can answer questions, it needs source material.

  1. Open Documents in the project sidebar.
  2. Drag a PDF (drawings, specs, schedules), a Word/Excel file, or an image onto the drop zone. Or click Upload and pick files.
  3. The INGRESS pipeline classifies the document, extracts text, and generates embeddings. Most documents are query-ready in 30–90 seconds. You will see a status pill on the row: Processing → Ready.

For ACC/Forma users, see the Forma guide to connect a hub instead of uploading manually.

4. Ask STRUX your first question

STRUX is the project-scoped AI assistant. Every answer cites the exact source document and page.

  1. Click the floating STRUX button (bottom-right) on any project page, or open the STRUX tab in the sidebar.
  2. Type a natural-language question. Some good first prompts:
    • "What is the structural slab thickness on level 3?"
    • "List all electrical specifications referencing emergency power."
    • "When is the masonry inspection scheduled?"
  3. Click Ask (or press Enter). STRUX returns a written answer plus numbered source citations. Click any citation to open the source document at the exact page.

If STRUX cannot find the answer in your project documents it will say so — it will not invent an answer. Add the missing source and re-ask.

5. Run your first VANTAGE check (optional)

VANTAGE runs deeper, multi-document AI checks (e.g. coordination clashes, spec-to-drawing mismatches). See the VANTAGE guide for archetypes, severity levels, and how to interpret findings.
