Project home

/overview is where you land after signing in and what the Overview row in the left rail opens. It is the home of whichever project is current, and it is the only project home: there is no separate per-project dashboard route.

The page is three things stacked. A row of verbs at the top, then a grid of cards you arrange yourself. Every number on the page belongs to a card, and each card fetches its own, so a card you removed costs nothing.

Quick launch

The pinned row under the header is the set of actions a superintendent hits before reading anything. It does not drag and it is not part of the grid.

Which of the eight appear, and in what order, is part of your saved board. Change them from the edit controls on the row itself.

An action you are not allowed to perform, or that a demo project forbids, stays visible and explains why on hover rather than going dead and silent.

The widgets

Eleven cards are available. Each states what it can, and none of them fills a gap with a zero: a card whose data could not be read says so and offers a retry rather than reporting nothing found.

Site weather needs the project to have been geocoded, which happens when the project is created or imported. Adding an address later does not backfill it.

Setup checklist shows the same checks as the setup panel on Struxen Core, read a different way: Core shows the whole list with its completion state, this card shows only what is still open. Dismiss a row with the × on it. Dismissals are stored in the browser you dismissed them in, so they do not follow you to another machine, and a dismissed check comes back on a device that has not seen it.

Cards with a register link show it in the top right when you are not editing.

Templates

Three starting arrangements are available from edit mode. A template is a whole board, not a patch, so applying one replaces which widgets are placed, in what order, at what width, and which quick actions are pinned. It asks you to confirm first.

A board you have never customised is the Superintendent template. Reset layout returns you to it, and does not ask for confirmation, because it is the way back from a template applied by mistake.

Rearranging the board

Click Customize in the page header. The button becomes Done and a strip appears reading "Drag cards to rearrange. Use the corner control to resize."

While editing, each card's register link is replaced by three controls, so you cannot navigate away from an arrangement you are still building.

Reorder	Drag a card by its grip handle. The rest slide along. Keyboard drag works from the handle too.
Resize	Click the width button on the card and pick S, M, L or XL. Only the widths that card supports are offered.
Remove	Click the × on the card. It moves to the Add widget list, it is not deleted.
Add	Click Add widget. Widgets land at the end of the board at their default width, then drag them where you want. The dialog stays open so you can restore several.
Start over	Click Templates and pick one, or click Reset layout.

Click Done when you are finished.

If every widget is already placed, the Add widget dialog says so and tells you to remove one with the × on its card to make it available again.

How your board is saved

Your arrangement is per user and per project. Your board on one job is independent of your board on the next, and it is yours: a colleague opening the same project sees their own.

Saving is automatic. Edits are batched and written a moment after you stop, so dragging a card several times sends one save rather than one per drop. There is no Save button and no "saved" confirmation, because the board visibly rearranges under the cursor.

Three behaviours are worth knowing.

A new widget never rearranges your board. When a widget is added to Struxen, it arrives in your Add widget list rather than appearing between two cards you placed.

A save that fails does not lose your work. The arrangement stays on screen and survives a refresh, and the failure is reported once rather than on every attempt.

If your saved board cannot be read, the page tells you. You get a warning reading "This is the default board, not your saved one" before you touch anything, because the first card you drag would otherwise overwrite an arrangement you never got to see.

There is a 16 KB ceiling on a stored board. A real arrangement is a few hundred bytes, so the limit exists to refuse abuse rather than to constrain you.

Two empty states that mean different things

"No projects yet" means the account has none, and it offers New project. It is only shown once the server has confirmed it, because that button starts a paid checkout.

"Your board is empty" means every widget has been removed from this project's board. Add one, or apply a template.
